Black Velvet started in a converted garage in 2019, with one drum roaster and a stubborn belief that great coffee shouldn't require a decoder ring. We source from small farms we know by name, roast in weekly batches, and ship within 48 hours.

Our subscription model isn't about lock-in — it's about logistics. Coffee is best fresh. The easiest way to drink fresh coffee is to have it show up at your door, on your schedule. Pause it, swap it, cancel it. We just want you drinking better coffee.
